Brâncoveanu Brandy is the champion of Romania in 2017 at the category of the Brandy type beverages, after he won a total of nine awards in four prestigious international competitions.
So, the three variants of Brâncoveanu Brandy were successful at the following competitions: Brâncoveanu XO and Brâncoveanu VS received each a silver medal and Brâncoveanu VSOP received the bronze medal at the category of the Brandy type beverages made out of grapes, at the 2017 edition of the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), a contest developed in Great Britain.
Founded in 1969, International Wine and Spirit Competition is considered the most prestigious competition of profile in the world and the awards offered by it are considered one of the most important distinctions which can be received by a product from the alcoholic beverages industry. First of all, the product is tasted by a group of experts – selected from more than 300 qualified specialists, with experience in the judging of the alcoholic products. Before the results are made public, the products which receive the best appreciations are subjected also to a technical analysis. This crucial stage ensures the complete validation to the winners.
At International Spirits Challenge 2017, which took place in Great Britain, all three variants of Brancoveanu Brandy received a silver medal at the category of the Brandy type beverages.
International Spirits Challenge (ISC) is the competition with the highest level of authority and influence from all contests for spirits in the entire world, with an experience of more than 20 years in the field and more than 1,300 registrations in almost 70 countries in the world.
The winners of ISC Tasting Awards are established based on a strict assessment process – a very well controlled operation, extended on a period of seven days of tasting to which more than 50 professionals in the profile industry take part.
Brâncovanu XO Brandy was rewarded also with two gold medals at Spirits category, within the greatest competition for wine and spirits from China China Wine & Spirits Awards
China Wine & Spirits Awards is the biggest and most prestigious competition for wine and spirits. All the 100 members of the jury are carefully selected from the top buyers of wine and spirits on this market. These are: importers, distributors, retail traders and sommeliers. Within this competition there are registered wines and spirits from 55 countries, and the jury does not know information about producers and products.
Another success was added on the list of accomplishments of Brâncovanu Brandy. Brancoveanu XO and VSOP have received a high recommendation within the competition Ultimate Beverage Challenge 2017 which took place in the United States of America. Brâncoveanu XO received the score “Excellent” (90%), and Brâncoveanu VSOP received the score “Very Good” (88%).
Ultimate Beverage Challenge was set up in 2010, having the mission to create and establish new higher standards for the assessment of the alcoholic beverages and wines, standards which could supply more precise result, significant and useful in the recognition and promotion of the qualities of the alcoholic products.
In the competition Ultimate Beverage Challenge each product is analyzed, tasted in ideal conditions, during a period of time, which enables it to present its best characteristics. Each product is assessed is several stages, by a group of specialists, without them knowing the brand or the producer of the beverage. All this in order to eliminate any individual prejudices. The results of the assessment offered following this competition are the most credible and relevant from the alcohol producing industry. The products awarded within the competition Ultimate Beverage Challenge are considered the best from their category because of their competitive performance

Brâncoveanu Brandy was created in honor of the 25 years of peace brought by the rule of Constantin Brâncoveanu in Țara Românească. The “Brandy” represents a category of beverages obtained through a Romanian traditional method of wine distillates production, an old Romanian craft kept from generation to generation.
Brâncoveanu VS (Very Special) is maturated in barrels for a period of at least three years, while VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) and XO (Extra Old) are maturated for a period of five, respectively seven years.
