Six new companies from the Romanian wine production domain officially enter the Alexandrion Group portfolio after finalizing the transaction with the English group Halewood International Holding. Alexandrion Group becomes now one of the strongest and competitive players on the Romanian wine and spirits market.
The recently acquired, high-quality portfolio includes award-winning wines enlisting among them Rhein sparkling wine, one of the official beverages of the Romanian Royal House.
With the acquisition of the six companies, the Alexandrion Group team will add another 200 employees, taking over one of the top 10 wine producers in Romania and the second largest wine exporter. The group overtook more than 200 hectares of vines and that produce about 5 million liters of wine annually. Also, together with the wine business acquisition, Alexandrion Group aquired the Azuga Rhein Hotel and the Urlati Mansion.
